In case you don’t already know who TK a.k.a. Taylor King is, let me introduce you. She’s a content creator and content producer based in Los Angeles, California. She has a fun and bold style, and she loves anything that she proclaims to be “juicy.”
For a while, I have admired her aesthetic and attitude on Instagram. Her content is always eye-catching and fresh. She finds ways to elevate simple outfits, with bold accessories and unique pieces.
I decided to give her style a shot by first recreating some of her Instagram in-feed fits. Then, I created a few juicy looks of my own.
First up, I went for one of her sporty looks. In the Instagram post, she’s wearing a reworked jersey/windbreaker by @thereal_o_g. I felt inspired to make one with a Milwaukee Bucks jersey and windbreaker that were sitting in my closet. Next time I go to a game, I’m definitely wearing it.

Second, I went for a comfy option. The outfit is nice and cozy, but what I really liked about this post is the posing. As a content creator, I’m always looking for ways to add variation to my feed. A pose like this is extremely simple, yet it has depth. It’s more eye-catching than just another selfie.

Lastly, I tried a dressed-up look. I just happened to have a black one-piece similar to hers as well as a neon jacket already in my closet. I never thought about pairing the pieces together before, but it works! In the future, I’ll have to play around with adding neon to dark outfits. It adds vibrance.

Recreating these in-feed looks helped me to jump outside of my comfort zone. The outfits forced me to look at items in my closet in a different way. Her posts also forced me to think outside of the box in terms of styling and posing. Most notably, recreating TK’s looks forced me to rock her classic red lip.
Feeling inspired, I put some of my own outfits together that I think TK would approve of. I leaned into the red and black color palette that is present in TK’s Instagram feed and brand.
I am obsessed with how this first self-styled look came together. I put on my favorite little black dress, fun sunnies, and my boyfriend’s varsity jacket. The pops of red throughout the outfit scream juicy! If you have a dress, jacket, and statement sunglasses, you can easily recreate this look with your own flair.

Next, I knew I had to break out my red velour Juicy Couture jacket for this blog post. I mean, it says juicy right on the arm! I paired the jacket with a black top underneath and dark wash denim pants. The cherry on top is a bright red scrunchie to hold my hair in a high pony.

In my final look, I kept on the same black shirt and put a leather top over it (it’s a Harley Davidson top that I found at a thrift store!). I also brought back the same sunnies from earlier to add another pop of red. This outfit made me feel like Sandra Dee at the end of Grease.

Emulating TK’s aesthetic and style was, in short, fun! Her typical outfits vary quite a bit from my typical fits, but I can still appreciate the juicy energy. If you ever see a style or a trend that you like, try it! You never know what it may help you learn about your personal style.
