Creating a New Vision Board and Setting Intentions

Creating a New Vision Board and Setting Intentions

Last year, around this same time, I posted my first vision board blog. I didn’t realize that when I created a new vision board the other day. I guess something about spring makes me want to refresh and reset.

The major themes of my previous board included self-care, chasing dreams, and wanting to adopt a cat. Some of those themes have definitely carried over to my latest vision board, yet in a new way with a different aesthetic. Personally, it has been interesting to compare them and see the development in my goals and style.

If you vision board too, I recommend reflecting on old boards after you create new ones. It’s interesting to see your creative process over time. It’s also interesting to see what mattered to you then and what matters to you now.

But, without further ado, I want to show you my new vision board and point out some highlights.

First, I want to chat about some of the words on the board. The big three are confidence, creativity, and joyful. When I feel these three things, I feel my best. Of course, I can not be confident, creative, and joyful 24/7. But, the board serves as a reminder to make choices that help me to be confident, creative, and joyful.

Second, let’s address the cute cat image. Due to everything that has been going on in the world, I haven’t moved yet. So, I haven’t been able to adopt a cat yet. But, a move is coming soon! I hope that the next time I show you my vision board, a cat is sitting right next to me.

Third, I want to talk about the ear on my vision board. It may look a bit random, but if you look closer it is very pierced. I have quite a few piercings, but I want to dress up my ears some more. Also, I want to visit my favorite piercing shop again. My goal is to make an appointment for this summer.

Lastly, you may notice some roller skates and plants on the board. I want to learn how to keep plants alive first, and then I would like to add some more greenery to my home. The roller skates represent getting back on my rollerblades. It’s a hobby that I’ve had a very on-again and off-again relationship with. It would be great to reconnect.

I tried to keep the mood of the board fresh, minimal-ish, and cohesive. I really enjoy how it turned out, and I’m excited to work towards the things on it! I am most skeptical of gaining a green thumb, but I will try.

What’s on your vision board? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments or on Instagram. Let’s chat!
