My Weekly Habits

My Weekly Habits

While each week brings its own challenges and adventures, I try to keep a few key things consistent. I find that when I maintain a set of weekly habits, I feel like my best and most productive self.

I believe creating about 4 or 5 weekly habits can bring structure to your schedule. Your habits may not be the same as mine, but here’s what I’ve found to be helpful:

Publishing a new blog post each week. If you are reading this, you most likely already know that I do this. I love taking the time to write, edit, and create each week. Blogging really forces me to slow down, relax, and enjoy the process. Since I work creative day jobs, it feels good to have a space that’s just mine.

Working out 4-5 times per week. I’ll be honest; this wasn’t always my favorite habit. But, when I started working out with Obe, I began to have fun with it again. Their cardio boxing and dance HIIT classes always help to wake me up and energize me in the morning.

Organizing my planner to begin the week. This habit helps me to be proactive rather than reactive. At the beginning of each week, on Sunday night or Monday morning, I will view my monthly calendar and jot down to-dos for each day. Once everything is laid out, it’s easier for me to get to work and start checking things off.

Treating myself to food delivery one night each week. I typically try to cook my meals at home, but it feels good to have a lazy night-in once a week. It gives me an evening to catch up on my favorite shows and video podcasts.

What are your weekly habits? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments or on Instagram. Let’s chat!
