Birthday Celebrations in Green Bay

Birthday Celebrations in Green Bay

Last Friday night, I went out with my family and husband for my birthday. It was the perfect little party complete with dinner, drinks, and entertainment.

Here’s how the night went and the local spots we stopped at along the way!

Outfit of the Night

First, I needed to dress for the occasion. I put together a simple black and white outfit with a few of my favorite statement pieces.

  • I got the fringe jacket while in my “bridal era” from Windsor. It paired nicely with my black wedding dress, and I knew I’d find opportunities to wear it again.
  • I found the black and white purse from one of my favorite resale shops in the area, Sunrise on Main Boutique.
  • The leather belt was from a booth at Wonderland Vintage. The quality was too incredible to pass up. If you look closely, you’ll see some fun details in the leather.
  • And, last, but certainly not least is my charm bracelet from Lulu’s Petals. Part of it is actually a repurposed vintage watch band.

Once ready, we went to our first stop!

Dinner at Al’s Hamburger

Al’s is a classic burger and milkshake shop (a must-visit if you’re in the area). The burgers are just so good, and you can catch some old-school tunes while you eat. I enjoyed a cheeseburger, plus some of my husband’s fries (everyone loves to share, right?).

Bonus points for Al’s: the iconic neon “EAT” sign makes for a unique photo opportunity.

Drinks & Dessert at Amphora

After we finished our meal at Al’s, we drove over to Amphora Wine Bar. This place has a stunning aesthetic and artfully crafted drinks and eats. A French 75 is my drink of choice here.

For dessert, we ordered these delicious apple rolls that came with ice cream, whip, and caramel drizzle. If you enjoy apple pie, you’ll love this sweet treat.

Free Sips at Anduzzi’s

Post drinks and dessert, we went somewhere else for just one more drink. At Anduzzi’s you drink free on your birthday!

I felt like we had to stop by for the glowing button, the cup, and the experience. It was worth it, and we even got to catch some of the band’s performance.

Showtime at Marcus Cinema

Our last stop of the night: the movies! We saw the new Joker…

I know what you’re thinking, most of the reviews of Joker: Folie à Deux have been horrible. And, I’m not here to deny those rumors.

It wasn’t a great movie, but I felt like I had to see it. I’ve been a fan of the Joker and Harley Quinn characters in comics and movies, and I’ve been an even bigger fan of Lady Gaga.

So, with that said, I thought it was cool to see Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn! I also didn’t hate the musical numbers. Dare I say, I did enjoy some of the songs and choreography.

Cheers to Another Year

It was an excellent night to turn 26 and celebrate with loved ones! I’m grateful they always go along with my adventures (and occasionally unique movie choices).
