4 Ways to Style Your LBD for NYE

4 Ways to Style Your LBD for NYE

A little black dress never goes out of style. Year after year, you can pair it with different accessories and signs of new times. I think it’s the perfect basic to break out of your closet for New Year’s Eve. Even if we are just sitting on our couches with a glass of champagne this year, let’s do it in style.

Below are four looks that I created using my bodycon LBD. I hope that they spark some ideas for your last look of 2020 and first look of 2021.

For this first outfit, I grabbed some bold accessories in my favorite color. I know micro bags still cause some controversy with critics, but I personally think they are adorable. Early in 2020, I even covered the trend on this blog.

I kept the pink theme going with my gogo-style booties. These have to be one of my best thrift finds. I think any bold colored boot would look great with a LBD base.

For look number two, I kept it cozy by just adding an oversized scarf. I honestly think everyone could use a blanket scarf in their closets. They are fashionable and perfect for winter weather. I thrifted the one pictured, but I have found some really cute ones at World Market.

Look three is a perfect fit to emulate if you live in a cooler climate too. I thrifted both the faux fur jacket and faux fur boots at different times, but it’s almost like they were meant to be together. I typically wouldn’t wear this much fur at once, but with a simple black dress, it works!

Look four is extremely easy and comfy. All I did was throw a sweater on top of my dress. I liked that it was a v-neck so I could put it over my shoulders. I also rolled up the sleeves a touch. This basic pairing can be dressed up with more jewelry and maybe even some patterned tights.

See ya in 2021! How are you ringing in the new year? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments or on Instagram. Let’s chat!
